A Skyhorse Publishing Book Blog

Welcome to our blog for all things Skyhorse! We aim to bring you fun, book-related updates to keep you informed, so you don’t miss out on new releases, author events, and other horsey-business. It is a goal of ours to have as much variety in our blog as we do in the books that we publish, so there’s a little something for everyone! Meet our blog editors:

Leslie D. Davis
Digital Marketing Manager

Hey Carousel readers! I’m a Midwest transplant (Go Boilers!) in love with New York City, my job, and my two kittens. Jack of all trades, master of none: amateur oil painter, modern dancer, writer, world traveler, weight lifter, postcard collector, and dedicated lifelong student. I’m currently learning violin and German. I think that’s why I’ve always been such an avid reader; I love to learn! I look forward to meeting some of you as you comment on our posts. Auf Wiedersehen!

Claudia D. Lucero
Digital Marketing Assistant

Hi everyone, Claudia here! As a lifelong New Yorker, I take full advantage of the new museum exhibits, street fairs, and buy foreign language books. I studied languages and film at NYU. So I can get easily lost in black and white films and non-translated books. I started my publishing career by interning with Penguin Random House and Thames & Hudson. Reading is the ultimate key to pushing your limits and growing. It’s exciting to come in and work on positive and empowering projects. Keep a lookout – epic reads are headed your way.

“First and foremost, Skyhorse took a chance on me as a first-time author, for which I’m extremely grateful. . . . The experience of working on and selling the book felt like an honest-to-God collaboration, and at no point did I feel like my voice was not being heard.”
–Mike Bockoven, author

“From the get-go, the Skyhorse editorial, marketing and sales, and publicity team championed my novel, The Promise. Two years after the first publication, the team continues to push the book with the same heartfelt and determined enthusiasm.”
